Privacy Policy

This policy’s content applies to the website and potential individual landing pages associated with MetaMystique and this website, managed by me, Ann Birgitte Lassen. I am the data controller, and I am responsible for your personal data. You can find my business information and contact details at the end of this policy.

Please read this privacy policy carefully to understand how I collect, use, protect, or otherwise handle your personal data. Based in the European Union, I am bound by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDP Regulation).

Visiting my websites or other webpages alone does not give me your personal data. However, some services require that you provide me with your personal data.

By providing me with your data, you state that you are at least 18 years old.

It’s important that the information I have for you is accurate and up to date. Please let me know if your information changes at any time by emailing me at [email protected].

Personal data or personal information means any information that can identify who you are.

I may collect and process the following kind of personal information:

Name data: First name, last name, business name, username.

Contact data: Email address, billing address, delivery address, telephone number

Financial data: Bank account information and payment card information, as well as any transaction data related to payment transfers.

Technical data: Login information, IP address, browser information, time zone, location, and other information you use to access my website.

Profile data: Username, password, purchases.

There are several ways I collect your personal data, depending on your actions, as follows.

Direct contact: email, phone, post address

  3. Register for a webinar or masterclass, or educational video series
  4. Register for a live event
  5. Purchase a program or service from me
  6. Give me feedback

When you visit my website, some data is automatically acquired. Those are cookies, impersonal personal data used to enable the website to work and optimize its functioning. It contains information about a device or other logged data that doesn’t enable identification; it is anonymous information, and user identity is not being established; neither would that be possible.

When you first visit the site, you will be informed about it and invited to manage your settings.

My lawful ground for processing your personal data when sending you marketing communications is either your consent or my legitimate interest, which is to grow my business and respond to your communications.

There are three kinds of email communication that you can expect from me:

  1. Educational
  2. Marketing and promotion of my services and programs
  3. Marketing and promotion of another person’s services and programs if I judge them complementary to what I offer and to be of high value to you.

I will not share or disclose your personal data with anyone without your explicit consent unless required to do so by law.

I will only use your personal data for the purpose you gave it to me or a compatible purpose.

If I want to use it for any other purpose, I will seek your permission first.

I may process your personal data without your knowledge and consent as permitted by law.

I do not use your personal data for automated decisions and/or automated profiling.

At any time, you can UNSUBSCRIBE from my emails by clicking on the Unsubscribe option found at the bottom of every email you receive from me. This does not erase personal data associated with having purchased from me.

To update your personal data (name, email address, or other data), you can use the same Unsubscribe link; when you click on it, it will offer you that option.

If you wish to know what data I have on file for you, please click the Unsubscribe link in any email from me or send me an email at [email protected].

I will protect your personal information and treat it with confidentiality. I will not disclose it publicly nor share it with third parties. The only exceptions are my contractual partners, which are also bound by the GDP Regulation and obliged to personal data protection.

I use several software applications to run my business. Each of these is GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) compliant, and many, if not all, are also EU-US Privacy Shield compliant.

As the manager of this website, I have access to the collected personal data.

I use Kajabi LLC for hosting my products and my email contacts, so the company Kajabi LLC, USA, also has access to your personal information. There is a secondary list of information that contains your name and email due to sending the newsletter. It is stored at Kajabi, with the only purpose being: collecting and processing personal data for sending newsletters and sales of products. You can access their legal policies here.

When it comes to cookies and personal data protection, one other company needs mentioning: Google; they too have access to your impersonal personal data (cookies) for enabling the website to work and to optimize its functioning.

Google LLC (owner of Google Analytics) has its privacy policy available here, while its general terms are available here.

For collecting the payments, I use Stripe, which means Stripe, Inc., 510 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA, will have access to your transaction information, including payment method, transaction history, and personal data pertaining to your account (such as name, email, shipping address). You can see Stripe’s privacy policy here

If you are my customer, I will keep your personal data for tax purposes, as long as Italian tax law requires it.

Otherwise, I will only use it to fulfil the purpose that you have consented to.

According to GDP Regulation, you have the following rights:

  • The  right to request access, correction, erasure, restriction, and transfer of your personal data
  • The right to object to processing and the portability of data
  • The right to withdraw your consent

You can assert any one of the rights mentioned above based on GDP Regulation any time by submitting a written request. You can do that at; please state your name and email address in your request.

I reserve the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time and post the changes on this page so that you are always aware of what information I collect, how I use it, and under what circumstances I disclose it.

All changes are effective immediately upon posting.
